We know it can be a little daunting going somewhere you’ve never been before, so here is some information about what you can expect on a usual Sunday at BCC.
What time do I arrive?
Our Sunday morning service starts at 11am. The children stay with us for the worship time and then leave us for their own programme.
Where do I park?
here is a small car park available on the church premises, and there is unrestricted parking in the surrounding streets. A map and directions of where to find us are available on the site.
If I have a disability, what support is available?
We have good access for people who need to use a wheelchair and a conveniently located disabled toilet just off the foyer. Please contact us before you visit if you require any additional information or assistance.
What will happen when I arrive?
You will be welcomed by a member of the team, and you are free to sit wherever you like. You will probably be greeted by a number of friendly people but don’t worry, no pressure will be applied to ‘join up’. However if you feel that you want to make BCC your home then there are plenty of people you can talk to.
What about the service?
The service usually lasts for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. During the service there will be a time of corporate singing, as part of our worship to God. We sing a mixture of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. We place a strong emphasis on teaching and our sermons are up to 40 minutes long. The sermons are always Bible based and we seek to give application of the Bible to enable us to live more like the people God wants us to be. Sometimes there is the practice of the spiritual gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12. Tea and coffee are served in the foyer after the service, so if you want to chat to a few people this is an ideal opportunity.
What’s available for children?
During the service the children between the ages of 4 to 12 years leave us for our Sunday school, which is called ‘Kingdom Kidz’. There is also a crèche facility for mums and toddlers up to the age of 4 with a CCTV link to look and listen to what is happening in the main service.
What shall I wear?
Anything you feel like wearing – suits, jeans, shorts – come in whatever you feel comfortable in!
